Kinship Networks

The kinship network service is regulated by The Care Standards Act 2000, which encompasses Government Legislation and Policy and Procedures relating to Shared Lives (National Association of Adult Placement), which has been operating nationally since 1978.

The Kinship Network service will be provided by experienced and knowledgeable workers who will be recruited in line with current government legislation.  The workers aim will be to enhance any extended family or offer support to someone who may not have any extended family. The worker will assist the person to remain living in their own home and encourage them to access both the local and wider community.

This service is aimed at reducing isolation and exclusion and assisting people to live a fulfilled life within their own home and local community.
